Bulk Product Upload (Excel)

Bulk Product Upload 
The procedures for simultaneously uploading many products to the system by filling up a dedicated Excel spreadsheet template. 

Step 1: Go to Catalogue > Products 
Step 2: Click on the small arrow beside the “Add New”. 
Step 3: Click “Import Excel”. 

Step 4: Click “Download Template” to download the Excel template.

Step 5: Open the downloaded template. (File name: product_template.xlsx)

Step 6: Filling up the template. As a guide, follow the straightforward instructions below to fill out the required fields. 
Step 7: Enter the Row Number. Only insert a row number if there are products. 


        
Step 8: Enter Product Name. 
Insert the product name, it will appear as the title. 
Product Name must be greater than 3 and less than 255 characters.
Product Name must not include symbols.

Step 9: Enter the Model number.  

  • The product Model must not include symbols.
  • The product Model must have more than 1 and less than or equal to 15 characters.
  • Only alphanumeric (a to z, 0 to 9) characters, full stop (.), dash (-) and underscore (_) symbols are allowed.
  • You cannot use the space symbol for the Product Model.
  • No special characters and \'0\' are allowed at the start of the Product Model.

Step 10: Enter the SKU. 


    
Step 11: Enter Description. 


Step 12: Enter Short Description. 

Step 13: Enter Product Grouping. 

  • Single Product => For single products
  • Bundle => For a bundle of products
  • Variation => For variation products
  • Product Grouping will default to Single if the value is empty.

Step 14: Enter the Meta Tag Title. 

  • Meta Title must be greater than 3 and less than 255 characters.
  • Meta Title same as the product name.  

Step 15: Enter the Price & Cost Price (in numeric format)


Step 16: Enter the product dimensions.(Length, Width, Height, Weight - Must be in number format. Default measurement systems are centimetres and kilograms)

Step 17: Enter the manufacturer name. Refer to BRP preset available manufacturer list. If the manufacturer isn’t listed, go to ______ . 

Step 18: Fill in the Product Categories. Be sure to map the marketplace categories first!! (Marketplace > Lazada/Shopee > Categories), then only fill in the Categories section in the spreadsheet. 

Step 19:  Select the product status. (Enabled/Disabled)

After finishing the Excel spreadsheet, you can upload it to BRP to complete the bulk product upload. 


Step 21: Go to Catalog > Products > click the small arrow beside the “plus” sign > Import Excel.

Step 22: Under the Import Products from Excel, click the “choose file” to begin the upload. 

Step 23: Select the Excel file from your computer to upload. 
Step 24: Press the blue “Upload Excel” button to upload. 

Step 25: If successful, the webpage will display the following message. 

Step 26: From the message, click the blue “here” link to go to the product list, otherwise, you can navigate to Catalog > Products. 

You should be able to see the products you have entered inside the Excel spreadsheet appearing inside the product list. 

Congratulations you have just completed inserting products in bulk!
