Single Product Upload
Only single product submissions are permitted with singular uploads.
Step 1: Go to Catalogue > Products
Step 2: Click on Add New at the top right corner.
Step 3: At the General tab, fill in the details as below.
Details to Fill in (* marked is mandatory)
- Product Name (*)
- Title of the product
- Description
- Product description.
- Meta Tag Title (*)
- Meta Tag Description
- Meta Tag Keywords
- Required by OpenCart original structure. .
- Product Tags
- describes the features, and characteristics. For store front page feature.
Step 4: Click on the Data tab.
Step 5: At the Data tab, fill in the details below.
Details to Fill in (* marked is mandatory).
- Model (*)
- Enter the model code/Product model in the marketplace
- SKU
- Stock Keeping Unit code
- Contains Barcode (*)
- Select “Yes” if the product has a barcode. Please select “No” if not.
- Price
- Price to be displayed on the product page.
- Cost Price
- The price that is bought from the supplier.
- Tax Class
- Tax or no tax goods.
- Can be set separately at Tax Settings (Settings > Localisation > Taxes)
- Quantity Available
- Stock quantity on hand available.
- Contain Serial Number
- Yes/No (Compulsory to select YES if the product need warehouse to pick, pack and ship)
- Date Available
- Put the date that the product will be available.
- Dimensions
- Enter the product size (Length, Width, Height)
- Length Class
- Select Centimetre/CM for marketplace syncing
- Weight
- Enter the weight of the product
- Weight Class
- Select Kilogram/KG for marketplace syncing
- Status
- Enable: The product is available on your platform.
- Disabled: The product is not available on your platform.
Step 6: Go to the Links tab.
Step 7: At the Links tab, fill in details as below.

- Product Grouping
- Select the types of products.(Single Product/Bundle/Variation)
- Refer to another chapter on Create Bundle/Variation Product.
- Manufacturer
- Enter the brand name.
- Refer to another chapter on brand setting and mapping.
- Categories
- Enter the product categories.
- Refer to another chapter on category setting and mapping.
- Usually, the 1st selection will be the Main Categories(root), 2nd will be their subcategories (branches), 3rd will be 2nd sub-category, and so on.
- Example:
- Main Categories: Printer
- Subcategories: Laser Printer
Step 8: At the Attribute tab, fill in all applicable information.
The more detail, the better the marketplace can categorise the product. So the customer can find your product easier.
At the General Attribute section, there are certain attributes that are mandatory to fill in, such as:
- Highlights
- What’s In the Box
- Warranty Type
- Warranty Period
- Colour Family
Please fill in the attributes that are mentioned "Mandatory".
Step 9: Go to the Image tab.
You can upload the image directly from your computer, or Google.
Step 10 : To upload an image, press the pencil icon.
Step 11: Press the Upload button in the Image Manager.
Step 12: Select the product image to upload, and click “Open”.
Step 13: Select the image once again from the Image Manager.
The image you have uploaded has been set as the primary main image.
Step 14: To upload additional images, click on “Add Image” below the Main Image.
Step 15: After the Other Main Image column appears, click the “Add Image”.
Notes:
** For images to sync to the Lazada marketplace, the minimum image resolution should be 500 x 500 pixels and the maximum should be 2000 x 2000 pixels.
** For images to sync to the Shopee marketplace, the image file size should be no more than 2MB.
Step 16: Go to the Marketplace tab.
Step 17: Make sure that the marketplace stores have been ticked “Yes' ' to synchronise between BRP and online marketplace.
Step 18: (Optional)
Under the Marketplace Product Matching, you can use this feature to match product SKU/model from marketplaces to the product model in BRP.
Scenario:
Product SKU/model in the marketplace is different from the model that you set in the BRP.
Click the “Add” button to add a new column.
Step 19: Enter the product model from the marketplace to match with BRP, and then select which marketplace shop you want to match with.
Step 20: Press “Save” to save the progress.
Step 21: Go to Catalog > Products to view the Product List, and locate the product you have just created.
You should be able to see the marketplace icon has changed from black and white to coloured.
BRP marketplace syncing cron jobs are intervals of 4 hours, which are 4 AM, 8 AM, 12 PM, 4 PM, 8 PM and 12 AM.
Step 22: Click on the Lazada/Shopee icon to start the store synchronisation.
The synchronisation should be complete within minutes.
